Training Staff

Our training staff focuses on the CrossFit methodology that promotes proficiency in each of 10 fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy. CrossFit adaptations include programs tailored for all individuals at all fitness levels from students, seniors, home makers, and money makers; to athletes, military, law enforcement, and fire fighters. Our training staff is dedicated to coach its members in achieving the highest efficiency in all workout movements, in addition to motivating and encouraging its members to reach their highest fitness potential.

Norm’s CrossFit journey began in 2009 when a friend of his convinced him to check out CrossFit and see what it can do for him in terms of fitness. He has always been into working out and general fitness. In his younger years, his fitness background was basically being a member at several different gyms or just working out in the garage to gain muscle. He was doing more isolated, heavy weight workouts, rather than focusing on his core strength. As he started getting older, his focus on exercise started diminishing and his fitness and health was not a priority role in his life anymore. After seeing photos of him gradually gaining weight, he knew he had to do something about it. After his first CrossFit workout (WOD), he was instantly hooked. He feels that CrossFit workout is a new challenge that makes him stronger, faster, and better! CrossFit has pushed him harder than he has ever expected and continues to break through barriers and make positive gains in his journey towards “elite fitness.” Now in his late 40’s, he is feeling 20 years younger, doctor says his test results are proof of his excellent physical condition, and he is feeling healthier than he has ever felt before.

Wilma started crossfitting in January 2010 when her husband invited her to try it out one day.

With no real fitness background, except for the global gym membership almost
everyone had as a teenager, she was scared and hesitant to go with him because
of all the insane workouts he would come home and tell her about after his WOD
sessions. As he somehow convinced her to come, she was hooked from that day on.
Now in her 40’s, she is doing things that she would have never imagined ever
accomplishing in her lifetime and having so much fun doing it!

Ben has been Crossfitting since the end of August 2011. Prior to Crossfit his
exercise and activity would consist of Basketball, A Little bit of Gym time, and
Dancing. He had never done an Olympic lift in his life, the only squats he did
was on the toilet, and his cardio was pretty terrible. Nowadays he is the most
Fit he has ever been in his life and is motivated more than ever. With the help
and support of The Crossfit Live Family he pushes himself in every WOD and
strives to be a better Crossfitter everyday. With results and a transformation
that he can see and feel, Crossfit Live has changed his Life !!

Melina started crossfitting in January 2011 when she tagged along with her parents for a CrossFit workout experience. She thought it was the toughest thing she’s ever done and wasn’t sure if she can continue, but decided to push herself into doing these insane workouts. In her personal hobby as a dancer and dance choreographer, she started feeling more energy and endurance during her dance performances, which she then realize that CrossFit really helped her overall well-being. With this new found passion of CrossFit, she is now majoring in Kinesiology in college to further her knowledge in living and helping others live a healthier lifestyle.

Seth began Crossfitting in June 2011 when he saw a facebook post by Norm welcoming friends and family to try out Crossfit at the local park on Saturday mornings.  From then on, he never looked back and has been an active Crossfitter ever since.  After 2 years of weight lifting classes in high school and 10 years of globo gym membership afterwards, Seth has found Crossfit to be the best workout regimen thus far.  Now at the age of 28, Seth can definitely see and feel the difference in strength and endurance from Crossfit that he had never experienced before with past workout routines.

Aside from his outdoor hobbies of snowboarding and deep sea fishing, Seth is passionate about fitness and shares that passion with all the members.  He is constantly focused, as a coach, on motivating members to consistently push themselves towards new fitness goals.  At the box, he enjoys meeting new people and welcomes new members to rejuvenate their mind and bodies with Crossfit to experience a whole new level of functional fitness, supported by clean dieting.


Ann Marie
CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) Trainer

Ann Marie was introduced to Crossfit in 2011 and has been hooked ever since. Prior to Crossfit Ann Marie would stay active by participating in exercise classes, going to the gym, and playing tennis with friends. She has always had an interest in sports medicine and began to pursue an undergraduate degree. In 2011, Ann Marie completed her baccalaureate degree at California State University, Long Beach in the study of Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science. Her education has provided her with a greater understanding of the body and how it works in relations to sports activity. Now, aside from her passion for Crossfit, Ann Marie is pursing higher education in occupational therapy.
