Essentially I sacraficed my body playing football. Broken back torn up shoulders and multiple knee surgeries and stomach surgery too. Only one coach listens to me anout these issues and usually its negative feedback or demeaning in tone to me. However at 59 I am pretty strong. Crossfit is very specific and scaling is an after thought by coaches [it gets short shrift]. So you’re on your own to find your way through. I was 75 pounds off of the 1000 lbs club. I told the coaches if I lose any explosiveness or power I’m taking control of my programming. The frustration is the one size fits all concept. It doesn’t work for me. Hoping I can work with the right Coach at Invictus on remote programming. I like xfit it’s my 10 th year so I feel like I payed my dues.
